Online learning
Learn before we meet
Arrive ready to make the most of your hands-on training. Your online learning brings the theory to life and gives you time to explore the structures involved in TMD.
Your printed manual will arrive before the practical days, so you can read through it and become familiar with the hands-on work before we meet.
-
Anatomy video
Explore the jaw, tongue, head and neck in detail: the ligaments and muscles, their trigger point pain patterns, and how forward head posture affects them.
-
Dentists’ perspectives
Hear from two dentists as they share their perspectives on TMD.
-
Online resources
Your online learning area brings everything together, from the anatomy video to home care advice, face massage and more, ready to revisit whenever you need it.
-
LIVE
Live Zoom theory session
Join me before the practical course to talk through the theory together.
Three days of
hands-on training
Develop your assessment and treatment skills for the jaw, tongue, head and neck.
- Assess the jaw: explore movement, recognise restrictions and plan treatment, using the consultation and assessment forms included with the course.
- Treat beyond the jaw: work with the neck and surrounding muscles as part of your approach.
- Develop your hands-on skills: practise intra-oral work with the medial and lateral pterygoids and tongue, techniques for the suprahyoid muscle group, jaw mobilisations, myofascial release and trigger point techniques.
- Bring it together: combine techniques into a treatment tailored to each patient, based on their case history and your assessment findings.
- Support patients afterwards: select appropriate home care and recognise when referral is needed.
One-to-one mentoring
Support beyond the course
Your training includes a 20-minute individual mentoring session with Minia, an experienced mentor to massage therapists. Bring the topic that matters most to you:

Building relationships with dentists and other practitioners
Book your session within three months of completing the course.
